Ports

Reaching Alpana Server

Alpana Server is composed of 2 websites that must both be reachable by the web browser on the client machines : the_Back-End Site_ and the Front-End Site
The ports number are defined during installation.

Allowing Alpana Server to get data

Alpana Server will make queries to data stores, as defined within the Connections and Data Sources inside the Dashboards.
Please take the necessary steps to allow this data access (open ports to reach SQL Server or Historian on a distant machine for example).

Anti-virus

Alpana Server may make queries to external IP addresses (for fetching data from data sources, for example on port 1433 for SQL).
This may be detected as suspicious behavior by some security software.
For normal operation, you should let your security software allow this access to Alpana Server.
