Start / Stop IIS websites

Alpana Server deploys websites in Microsoft IIS :

• Alpana3App : the back-end site
• Alpana3Client : the front-end site
  

You can start/stop/restart those websites by using the IIS management tools.

When the machine restarts, the started/stopped state of the sites is maintained by IIS.

IIS Management Console

To open IIS Manager, run the program inetmgr

Alternately, you can search for the program name “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager” :

Starting/Stopping/Restarting websites

The websites may be started from the Alpana Server installer, as a final option (default).

If you wish to start/stop/restart the websites manually, open IIS Manager, click on the website and click Start (or Stop or Restart) :

*Note : even after stopping the Alpana3App, the application code192.Alpana.Server.Web.Host.exe may still be left running in memory.
To completely stop it, it may be required to stop IIS altogether (see below).

Stopping/Restarting IIS

To stop IIS completely, select the server name, and click Stop.
Wait that the animation progress stops.
Click Start to start IIS again.
