Publishing from Alpana Server

Dashboards can be published from Alpana Designer.
Alternately, you can publish a dashboard .alpd file directly to the Server.

Click on the destination Category and click the Add Dashboard button :

This opens the Upload New dialog :

Click the Select File button to browse your filesystem for a dashboard .alpd file.
Fill-in a Name and optionally a Description.

When you click the Save button, the Dashboard is published to the Category.

Actions menu

Each published Dashboard has a set of actions available.
To list those actions, open the dashboard menu next to the Dashboard’s name :

Some of those actions are detailed in the corresponding chapter :

  • Make public / Make private
  • Get link / embed
  • Download
  • Move
  • Copy
  • Create schedule
  • Manage permissions
  • Versions history
  • Update
  • Delete

Update

This opens the Edit dialog to update the Dashboard’s name and description.

You can also upload a new dashboard .alpd file to replace the current one.
If you do so, this will create a new version, so you can input a Version Comment.

Download

This downloads the dashboard .alpd file.
This allows for example to open it in Alpana Designer.

Move

This opens the Move dialog which allows to select a destination Category for moving this Dashboard to :

Copy

This opens the Copy dialog which allows to select a destination Category for copying this Dashboard to.

Delete

This deletes the selected Dashboard.
