The Field Value Watcher will look at data changes over time to detect when a KPI goes out of a normal state.

Field value watchers have three tabs to configure :

Data selection

Schedule Trigger alert Watcher selection

This is where you define which Widget will be used to get the data : the Source Widget.
The list contains all Widgets of the selected Dashboard.

Condition details

This is where you configure the condition itself.

Schedule Trigger alert Watcher Condition

Select field to watch

Select which measure field from the data of the Widget you need to watch.

Value does not change / Value changes

Select if you want to be alerted when the value stays the same, or when the value changes.

Duration deadband

Allows to define a deadband to ignore changes that happen too fast.
This requires a date field from the Widget.

Schedule trigger alert watcher Duration Deadband

If the duration between two consecutive constant values is always smaller than the Deadband, then the abnormal values are ignored.

Consider value changed when outside of following bound

This allows to define a value interval to consider that the value really changed.
This can be expressed in absolute value, or As percent of the target value.

Filter

You can also filter the result to only accept some data :

Schedule Trigger alert Condition Filter

You can create a filter on a string field for example.
