Folders

Runtime Connections are organized in Folders.
Folders can contain other Folders.

This Chapter documents the management of Folders.

Creating Folders

*When you install Alpana Server or create a new Tenant, no Folders exist by default.
You will need to create at least one Folder for creating a Runtime Connection.

There are two types of Folders :

1. root Folders are at the root of the tree structure.
2. sub Folders are nested under root Folders or other sub Folders
   

Creating a root Folder

To create a root Folder, click Add root Folder :

To create a sub Folder, click on the desired parent Folder, then click the Add sub Folder icon in front of it :

When creating a Folder, fill in the desired name and click Save :

Editing a Folder

To Edit a Folder, click on it, then click the Edit icon in front of it :

This allows you to change the Folder name :

Deleting an empty Folder

*A Folder cannot be deleted while it still contains Runtime Connections, and while any of its Sub Folders contains Runtime Connections.

To Delete a Folder, click on it, then click the Delete icon in front of it :

Moving a Folder

To move a Folder, drag it and drop it onto another Folder.
