Copying/Pasting a Widget

Instead of creating an empty Widget and configure it from scratch, you may duplicate an existing Widget and edit the copy.

Copy

To copy a Widget, select it on the layout canvas and use the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut, or click the Copy button in the top window bar :

The Alpana Designer clipboard will now hold a copy of this widget, and you will now be able to paste it elsewhere on the layout.

Paste

After copying, you can paste the Widget copy somewhere else on the Dashboard layout.

To paste, use the Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut, or click the Paste button in the top window bar :

Now your mouse cursor will hold the Widget copy, ready to be placed on the layout.
As you move your mouse, you see the outline of the new Widget that will be created :

Click the desired location to paste the Widget.
