Every time you over-write an existing Data Source, the previous version in saved also.
The Version History allows you to see the changes applied to a Data Source, and restore a previous state.

Opening the Versions History

From each Data Source action menu, select Versions history to open the dialog.

Viewing Version History

The Versions History dialog shows a paginated list of Versions :

Each Version displays :

  • a Version Number
  • its Creation Time
  • an optional Version Comment

You can sort the list by version number and creation time bu clicking on the corresponding column headers.

You can browse versions pages and choose a page size at the bottom of the dialog.

Restoring an older Version

By default, the Active Version of a Data Source is the latest published.
However, you can manually restore any previous Version.

Click the _ Restore_ button in front of the selected Version :

The Active version indicator will move back to that older version.

So if you want to restore the latest Version again (or any other Version), just do the same process again.

Downloading an older Version

Click the Download button to download the corresponding Version :

This will download the corresponding Data Source .alps file.

This is useful for example for studying a previous version, and maybe turning it into a separate Data Source.

Deleting an older version

You can delete any previous version.
Click the Delete button in front of the corresponding Version :
